The Team was on it! They replaced over 800 square feet of flooring in less than a week's time in our sunroom, kitchen, hall, utility room, dining room, and foyer. My wife and I are extremely pleased we found Stone & Grain Design Group to do a major remodeling of our home that included taking down a wall to open up our first floor, installing ceiling lights, putting new flooring in on the entire first floor and the second floor hall, and updating our curved staircase and handrails (a fairly involved project), which had been untouched since the house was built in 1969.
We tried for more than nine frustrating months to get a contractor to just come to our house and look at it. Eric and his team were the only ones who were responsive from start to finish.
Communication was excellent through the entire process. We met with the team several times to tweak design renderings, discuss materials, and to make adjustments to fit our budget. Eric started a collaboration folder for us so we could share our ideas and what we saw that caught our eyes—that was incredibly helpful to whittle down what we could do within our modest budget. Collin’s design renderings of our final selections were exactly what we got!
Eric, Tim, and Collin were fantastic at responding to our questions and the things we thought needed to be corrected—there was never an issue and everything was addressed without any fuss. Eric sent us texts regularly when we couldn’t be home, letting us know when everyone was coming. Eric or Tim talked to us through the entire process so everyone was always on the same page.
We can’t fully express what a relief it was to find an honest contractor. The estimate we approved never changed through the final billing. We always knew what we were paying for up front and when we had leftover flooring, Eric and Tim returned the extra flooring and Eric brought us a check for the overage. When Tim offered to paint the ceilings after the lighting wiring was installed (something not in the original estimate), he let us know how much additional it would be (and well worth it), and that’s exactly how much we paid for it. There were no billing surprises.
When everything was finished, our home looked fabulous and we were very pleased with what was done. Their honesty, responsiveness, kindness and solid work are going to bring us back to them for our next home project!

Ours has been an extensive renovation to a home we recently purchased. From the digital design onward the Stone and Grain Group got us, we were always made to feel that we were their only concern, even though they had many other clients. We now have a kitchen and open living space that we always dreamed of having. I chose Stone & Grain to do a full kitchen remodel and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The reason I chose them is because they do it ALL - including the design. I knew I wanted a completely different layout, including a big island, but I wasn’t sure if it could be possible given the size/space. Sure enough, they had a vision, made it happen, and it’s stunning! I often relied on them a lot for design advice - ie style, colors, etc - and I’m so glad I did! Took away the stress of wondering if I was making good choices. I gave them a budget to work with and we worked out a way to make it happen - they were very understanding at times even if it meant reworking the design, helping me find affordable materials, etc. I trusted them to be in my home when I wasn’t present, never any issues whatsoever. The quality of the work was great as well. I definitely recommend them and can’t wait to have them back for future projects!
